Our Think Local, Shop Local promotion is now well past the halfway point with 3 out of the 10 keys still to be drawn.
The centerpiece of the campaign – a brand-new Hyundai Venue – has been on display at Tamworth Shoppingworld for the first five weeks of the promotion. It has now made the drive back across the river to Centrepoint Tamworth, bringing a fresh spotlight to the city’s CBD businesses.
What is particularly exciting for everyone involved in Shop Local 2025 are the results so far.
Based on the Week 6 data for this year’s campaign, we are well and truly on track to exceed ALL past Shop Local success having already amassed $1.35 million in sales from 10671 entries and 151 participating businesses. The campaign’s record was in 2019 when Shop Local generated $1.4 million in sales from 7,000entries and the support of 104 participating businesses.
Whilst Shop Local wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors, we’d like to give a shout-out to those participating businesses that continue to drive engagement, and which is reflected in the number of entries they are generating. Our Top 5 performers to date are:
- Bed Bath N Table (Centrepoint Tamworth)
- Prouds (Centrepoint Tamworth)
- Just Cuts Tamworth (Tamworth Shoppingworld)
- Forum 6 Cinemas (Centrepoint Tamworth)
- Woolworths (Shoppingworld Tamworth)
And another important shout-out to Carpet One and Monogram IT who are collectively responsible for more than $171,500 worth of sales to date.
Of course, it’s not too late for any local business to sign-up and reap the rewards of another successful campaign. Just head to our website and follow the prompts.
The promotion culminates in a live key-turning event Sunday 20 July in Fitzroy Plaza where one finalist will drive away in the new Hyundai Venue.
Think Local, Shop Local is proudly supported by Tamworth Regional Council, Woodleys Motors, Tamworth Shoppingworld and Centrepoint Tamworth and continues to provide real benefits for local business and the wider community.
