Our annual ‘Think Local, Shop Local’ campaign, in its ninth year of operation, has finished, generating $2,179,953 million in retail sales, making 2025 the most successful year yet!
With more than 154 participating businesses, there were 18,010 entries from 112 different postcodes represented. With an average spend of $121.01, people have proven to support registered businesses within the Tamworth Local Government Area (LGA) despite difficult economic times, the cost of living crisis and the popularity of online shopping.
This event has been made possible by major sponsors Woodleys Motors and Hyundai Tamworth, Tamworth Regional Council, Centrepoint Tamworth and Tamworth Shoppingworld. Penrose Prime Meats Tamworth and Transwest Fuels Pty Ltd supplied the weekly supplementary prizes of $100 gift vouchers and the entire campaign was underpinned with the supporting sponsors Allsopp Signs, 88.9fm Tamworth Radio, NBN Television, WIN Television and The Northern Daily Leader.
