Chamber Connect is a dynamic sub committee of the Tamworth Business Chamber, designed to strengthen connections, increase visibility, and create opportunities across the local business community.
Through a series of targeted initiatives, including Business After 5 (BA5) networking events, Member Spotlights, and the Ignite Initiative, Chamber Connect provides platforms for businesses to build relationships, showcase their story, and grow their capability.
The group plays a key role in driving member engagement, welcoming new businesses into the Chamber, and supporting a collaborative and inclusive business environment.
At its core, Chamber Connect is about building a stronger, more connected Tamworth, where relationships turn into opportunities and businesses are supported to thrive.

Business After 5
Business After 5 (BA5) is Chamber Connect’s flagship networking series, designed to bring members together in a relaxed and engaging environment.
Held on the last Wednesday of each month and hosted by Chamber members, BA5 events provide an opportunity to connect with like minded professionals, build meaningful relationships, and gain insight into local businesses and industries. Each event offers a unique experience, with hosts showcasing their business, sharing their story, and creating an environment that encourages genuine connection.
BA5 is exclusive to Chamber members, with the opportunity to bring a guest who may be interested in joining. It is a key platform for strengthening connections across the Tamworth business community and creating opportunities that support growth and collaboration.
Members also have the opportunity to host a BA5 event, providing valuable exposure for their business while engaging directly with the local business community.
Members Spotlights
Member Spotlights are a dedicated segment within each Business After 5 (BA5) event, providing members with the opportunity to introduce themselves to the local business community.
At every BA5, two members are invited to deliver a short five minute presentation, sharing who they are, what they do, and their journey in business. This is not a sales pitch, but an opportunity to build genuine connection, increase visibility, and help others better understand the person behind the business.
Member Spotlights are designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment where members can confidently share their story, strengthen relationships, and become more engaged within the Chamber community.
Members are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for an upcoming Member Spotlight.


Ignite Initiative
The Ignite Initiative is a structured business support program designed to help early stage businesses launch, develop, and grow through access to practical services and local expertise.
Similar in concept to a grant, Ignite provides value through in kind support rather than direct funding. Each year, selected participants receive a tailored package of services contributed by Chamber members, creating a strong foundation for long term success.
The program is aimed at businesses in the pre launch phase through to their first two years of operation. It is designed to support, connect, and mentor participants as they navigate the early stages of business, building both capability and confidence.
Support may include business mentorship, collaboration opportunities, marketing and advertising, graphic design and branding, and guidance on presenting professionally and confidently. By connecting emerging businesses with established local operators, Ignite fosters meaningful relationships and strengthens the broader business community.
Members are invited to learn more about the program or become a supporting business by contributing services and expertise.
