Lighting the way for Local Business Through Advocacy, Connection, and Education to Promote Growth and Prosperity

The Ignite Initiative was launched in 2026 as the flagship program of Chamber Connect to help accelerate the success of early-stage businesses through access to advocacy, connection, and small business focussed education and training.

In tandem with the Quality Business Awards, Chamber Connect called for nominations from emerging local entrepreneurs wanting help to turn a great business idea into a sustainable and successful business.

Unlike a traditional grant, the Ignite Initiative provides the successful recipient with much more than financial assistance. The winner’s package brings together a range of curated professional services including:

One on one business mentorship from experienced local leaders
Strategic marketing and advertising support
Branding and graphic design, including logo development
Opportunities for collaboration and meaningful business connections
Coaching in professional presence, communication, and confidence
Exposure across Chamber platforms and initiatives

Positioned as a service based, grant style program, Ignite delivers meaningful, real world support without the exchange of funds. Instead, it unlocks access to a collective of local expertise, providing selected participants with a tailored package of in kind services that directly contribute to business growth and long term sustainability.

Pre launch businesses ready to bring their idea to life

Startups and early stage businesses within their first two years of operation

Driven individuals seeking guidance, connection, and structured support

Businesses committed to growth, learning, and active participation

Applicants must be based in, or operating within, the Tamworth region and demonstrate a clear vision for their business.

Applications open annually and are assessed against program criteria and potential impact.

Selected recipients are matched with a network of supporting businesses who contribute services and expertise aligned to their needs. This creates a structured and supportive environment focused on building capability, strengthening foundations, and accelerating growth.

The program is delivered over an agreed period, with ongoing engagement to ensure participants gain maximum value and measurable outcomes.

To be considered for the Ignite Initiative, applicants will be required to:
