John has been involved in the work health and safety profession in various capacities for over twenty years, most notably with Safe Work NSW and as Manager of Risk and Safety with Tamworth Regional Council. He fulfilled several roles with Safe Work NSW including as a Business Advisory Officer, Inspector, Manager of the Tamworth office and Acting Director for Northern NSW.

At the start of 2023 he created Ringland Consulting, a specialised work health and safety consulting firm. His clients include local councils, state government departments and members of the Tamworth business community.

His focus is providing practical, simple and effective services and solutions which add value to his clients whilst increasing their own capacity to meet their safety needs.
