Our vision is to assist frail older people as well as those with disabilities or extreme social disadvantage to live independently in the community. Tamworth Meals on Wheels provide an efficient, effective service underpinned by a strong focus on reablement and wellness.

With over 350 clients and a small army of volunteers, Tamworth Meals on Wheels has delivered services to the Tamworth community for over 60 years.

We deliver nutritional customised meals to consumers matching their needs and choices. The service delivers Monday to Friday and provides valuable social interaction as well as a welfare check every visit.

The service utilises 160 volunteers', mostly driving and delivering meals, but also in our kitchen and on our community-based management committee.  

The role of volunteering gives a great deal of satisfaction to the volunteers, socially connecting them to the community whilst providing a crucial, rewarding and satisfying experience for all concerned. Tamworth Meals on Wheels provides much more than just a meal!
