Congratulations to the finalists and winners of the 2021 Quality Business Awards

2021 Quality Business Awards winners announced!

After much anticipation and months of waiting the winners of the 2021 Quality Business Awards have been announced in front of more than 600 people at the gala dinner on Friday 18 February held at Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.

In a record-breaking year, 650 local businesses were nominated in 2021 with winners crowned across 29 categories.

Tamworth Business Chamber President, Stephanie Cameron congratulated this year’s winners on their achievements.

“In a rollercoaster year of lock downs, trading restrictions and public health orders, this year’s winners have demonstrated resilience, determination and a willingness to succeed.

“The dedication and passion to your business in what has been a difficult and trying year, is proof that you are true champions of local business.”

There were some stand out categories in 2021 with 38 entries in the Excellence in Customer Service – Health and Wellbeing category, while in the aligned section there were 31 submissions for the Start Up Superstar award.

“It was an extremely difficult job for the judges this year, with an outstanding field of entrants,” said Mrs Cameron.

“We only crowned 29 winners tonight, but every finalist in the 2021 Awards is worthy of recognition and everyone should be proud of their accomplishments.”

A total of 29 awards, including 18 recognising excellence in customer service, were presented at tonight’s gala dinner by Quality Business Awards sponsors.

The highly coveted Noel Park Award was this year awarded to Robert Schofield for his service to the Nundle and the wider Tamworth region, as the licensee of the Peel Inn for almost six decades.

“The Noel Park Award recognises someone who has made a significant contribution to the growth of the Tamworth Local Government Area,” said Mrs Cameron.

“As well as previously serving as a councillor on Nundle Shire Council for 22 years, Mr Schofield has used his business, the Peel Inn to provide enormous support to the local community, providing sponsorship and assistance to community organisations, sporting clubs, local events and tourism.

“I congratulate Mr Schofield and all he has achieved.”

Winners of the aligned categories will progress to the NSW Chamber of Business regional finals.

Thank you to everyone involved to help us celebrate business execellence in our region.
