Tough Race for Top Honours
Tough Race for Top Honours
Nominations have now closed in the 2021 Quality Business Awards.
As the Quality Business Awards moves into its next phase, Tamworth Business Chamber says it’s been impressed with the community’s support of local business throughout the nomination process.
This year, more than 1400 nominations for over 650 businesses around the region were received – the best result for the Awards in the last decade, and a testament to the calibre and resilience of the Region’s business community.
Now in their 38th year, the Quality Business Awards are open to all industries and sizes, from a single-operator tradies, to retail shop fronts, professional services and the larger corporations competing nationally and internationally.
Innovation and economic priorities feature highly with categories for businesses that promote safety, innovation and creativity. Those committed to social inclusion will be honoured alongside one of the long-standing industries in Tamworth like hospitality, accommodation and tourism.
It is also the chance to recognise the faces behind the businesses with award categories for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution, employers, entrepreneurs and leaders of the future. The highly coveted “People’s Choice Award” will be open for voting once finalists announced.
Amongst the 27 regional awards, nine winners from the nominated businesses here will go on to the regional finalist awards hosted by the NSW Chamber of Business.
Chamber has now handed the process over to their team of qualified and independent judges, extending the assessment period to accommodate the current snap lockdown.
Those businesses entered in an Excellence in Customer Service category will essentially be mystery shopped whilst those who entered in the NSW Business Awards Aligned Categories, will be externally judged.
If further COVID-19 restrictions are implemented in regional NSW, Chamber is committed to running the 2021 Quality Business Awards ceremony digitally, or they will look to adjust the date and potentially the capacity of the gala dinner depending on the conditions they are required to work with at that time.
